With the new digital image stabilisation, the Hero 5 Black makes footage from a rocky road look like gliding on ice. Now waterproof up to 10 metres without any additional housing and with the separately sold GoPro Super Suit, you can dive to 60 metres. Let’s get technical. The Hero 5 Black now has a better battery and uses a USB C connection for quicker charging, 5 times quicker than the previous GoPro Session and up to 10 times faster than the Hero 4 models. More importantly, it works on a one button operation, meaning that the power button is the record button and shutter button, the camera turns on, does its job, then turns off, so the battery is at optimum charge for longer and uses its power in the most efficient way. This GoPro allows you to shoot in 4K Ultra HD for brilliant clarity and in 1080P HD at 120 frames per second, so when you make a slow motion video, there is no skipping frames or jumping around, just smooth slow motion footage. The Hero 5 Black can also take 12MP photos, amazing for a video camera, 30 frames per second burst mode and both time lapse and night lapse.
